Achievements

The extent of the organisation’s commitment, passion and devotion to the development of South Asian Arts & Music can be measured from the following achievements:

Founded APNA Arts in 1988

Developed APNA Arts into a viable organisation

Created the annual national Festival of Asian Arts & Music

Arts Council/British Gas Working for Cities Award (Youth Arts Award 1991)

Arts Council of England ­ International Initiatives Award for a number of arts Projects from 1994 ­ 1997

Nottingham City Council’s Achievement Award Excellence In Race & Community relations 1995

Runner up for the NDC Celebrating Commitment in Our Neighbourhood Award
