Venue: Art Exchange Gallery

APNA Arts in partnership with the Te & Gi, Albania and City Arts exhibited a series of powerful paintings exploring and representing images and experiences faced by people of Albania and Kosova during the conflicts of 2000.

These personal representations highlighted the horrors and atrocities of war making the exhibition was timely given the global situation.

To coincide with this exhibition, there was an exhibition by refugees from the Bosnia Herzegovina association in Nottingham who used photography, poetry and story-telling to counter-act negative media stereotypes and offer positive representations that speak of the rich cultural contributions refugees and asylum seekers bring to the UK.
